I didn't get the flu this year because I got a flu shot and I made sure my husband did too. We don't always like to take the time to get the flu shot but we sure are glad that we do when everybody else is getting sick.
The flu can be serious for elderly and I tell everybody I know to get the flu shot. Why suffer?

I have never had flu, I think a lot of people say they have had flu when in reality it is probably a bad cold. I know when my sister had it she was in bed for a week but my husband, on the other hand, seems to be able to go about his normal duties and not so much as sniff when he has his 'man' flu. By the way why do people star their own questions on here? Do you get extra points that way or is it to get the ball rolling? Just curious.

Where I live we don't have a winter as such, but the flu exists anyway.
I haven't had the flu for quite some time thankfully.

Nope. I get a flu shot every fall. Haven't had the flu in years.

No thank goodness. Us mums cannot afford to be ill. Dont know what the reason is why some do and some dont. I think the flu jab helps the elderly. Hope you didnt cause it isnt very nice being poorly.

Nope, I didn't :) However, i didn't wear too much, it's just because I swim 3 times a week in a pool - sports! - that's the better way to avoid flus and stuff :)

After 3 weeks, you likely do not have the flu anymore, if certainly you had it. even as think about a secondary an infection that would respond to antibiotic treatment. i guidance seeing a well being care service.

no i didnt. i got a flu shot. but i know several people that did get the flu, and it was pretty bad for them.
