Would Yahoo ever be able to make our answers copyright? If that happened then our answers would no longer be our own. How would that work?

If I saw a book like this in a bookstore and I saw an answer I had provided in it, I would be offended if I then found it to be copyrighted and that it was the property of Yahoo.

A few points for a best answer is nothing if you then discovered a few years later that someone else was profiting greatly from your ideas. Think about it.

What is in my mind is my property and it's precious to me. I would feel gutted if I then found out someone else had taken ownership of it for the purpose of making money. It'd be even more annoying if I then had to ask permission to use an idea I had provided in a publication of my own.

As soon as you hit 'submit', the answer you've typed out becomes the property of Yahoo. See the smallprint at the bottom of this page, for example.

Okay, would rather read a book or just go to yahoo answers and search in the search bar. I mean the only ones who would buy it are people who have no idea about computers. And about the copy right question... I guess they would give credit to the answer...like best answered by Swish...or asked by so and so.

They might do, it could be interesting if they picked the best ones but a rip-off really as you could just look on the site. They'd probably say something like 'All questions and answers copyright of their original authors.' Maybe they would email the people's they were using?

Not that I know of. There is a best answer section of the best Q&A's. If a book did come out, then I'm sure that they would put the user ids of the askers and answerers.

Doubt it. Think of all the rubbish spelling and grammar etc. It will take a lifetime and more to decipher it..........
