There are two basic ways.

One is to connect an audio cassette player's "line out" socket to a c.d. recorder's "line in" socket.

The other is to transfer the recording to your PC (cassette player's "line out" to PC's "line in") and then record to a blank c.d. on the PC.

If you don't have an audio editing program, I can recommend "Audacity" http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ It's very good and it's free.
