There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Gently apply a light reflecting moisturizer to your face and eye area. Pat (do not smudge or rub it in) a yellow cream concealer all around your eyes (not only underneath). Dust a powder one shade lighter than your skin tone over top of it and your entire face. Apply a very pale yellow/gold powder eyeshadow to the inner area and inner corner of the eye. Line the inner corners of your eyes with a pale gold or white eyeliner.

Other tips would be to curl your eyelashes and apply a lengthening mascara which instantly opens up and brightens your eyes to look awake and refreshed. Filling in and grooming scarce eyebrows draws attention above -- instead of beneath -- your eye area and makes your seem more expressionative (instead of almost like a zombie). Apply a healthy colored pink lipstick with gloss and cream blush to the apples of your cheeks to immediately bring your face to life and counteract the dead blue around your eyes.

Take a very light pink eye-shadow pencil (maybe even white if you are as pale as you say you are) and appyl the pencil where the circles are, and then you can add some concealer to it if it doesn't all go away.

You are probably using the wrong concealer or not putting enough of it on . I would put some on and let it set for a couple of minutes then dab on a little more. If that doesn't help, go to one of your local department stores make-up section and ask the sales person for a recommendation or one of their top sellers for this problem.

(this may seem a little weird) put two spoons in the freezer overnight,in the morning take them out and put them on your closed eyes. Another suggestion buy concealer that is lighter than your natural skin tone just for that problem.

Try cocoa butter. It's great for discoloration. It also makes the skin super soft.
