No troubles with spybot.
If you want your computer to run faster, first download Ad-aware by Lavasoft and get latest updates and run it.-do full scan.
You can also download Spybot(also get latest updates) and run it as well, at the same time.
Neither will delete operating system files. That would be kinda useless where you could do that yourself and reload Windows OS.
These programs and any program like them SHOULD NEVER touch the OS otherwise they are crap programs.
Both are free to download and free to use. They are not automated to work in your system on a time schedule(like every 24 hours or so). You have to activate them when you want to use them. If you get the paid version the scheduler comes with it.
Heck, I don't need that.....after I have finished using them I dump them from memory(as I am fighting for space) which also slows the computer down...when there is less than a gig of free space on your C drive.

Spybot? You mean Spybot Search and Destroy? No, it will not. But make sure you get the right one. Download it at the site below. Accept no substitutes. And back up your files just in case!
God bless.

Spybot Search and Destroy is a very good program, However you do need to use caution when using it.
They do have a system roll back feature in case there is a problem and your computer doesn't run correctly.
