Bush unconstitutionally and illegally invaded Iraq for only three reasons:
1) To 'get even' with Hussein for humiliating his father during Desert Storm;
2) To take control of those rich, easily-accessible OIL fields so Bush, Cheney and their Exxon-Mobil buddies can get richer and richer and richer feeding America's dependency on OIL;
3) To enhance the profits of the giant U.S. military-industrial complex, which needs 'war' for continued profitability. That's why the U.S. has been involved in the Korean Conflict, the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, the Cold War, and Desert Storm - all for the sake of money, at any cost to human lives.
God's 'plan' is to let man to his own devices until man finally either wakes up and becomes peaceful, decent creations - or until man finally annihilates himself on Earth. -RKO-

I personally think that it is more about oil profits, as will be the attack on Iran. If you keep an oil rich region in turmoil it will raise the price of oil, I would believe this to be discussed in a meeting that Bush had with the oil company's early in his presidency. The minutes of the meeting were sealed and really only the participants know what was discussed.

Yeas and Yes and Yes! It has always been about oil!

The US Oil Companies lost their oil contracts in Iraq to the French and Russians. The handwriting was on the wall!

It sure wasn't about 9/11 as Iraq had nothing to do with it! It wasn't about terrorism as Saddam wanted nothing to do with that either, no matter how often Bush lied!!

Yes. The administration is well aware of Peak Oil, particularly since the United States already hit its peak in the 1970's, and Saudi Arabia has already begun its decline.

I'ts all about $$$$ for defense contractors and other contractors and manufacturers that are providing goods to support the war effort. No god would have allowed a president to lie to his people to go to war. what kind of a god would that be. But what kind of god would sacrifice his son then make rules for you and I to be good and if we didn't follow them send us someplace bad. Sounds like an angry dad to me

No, it's not about oil. Oil profits are going right back to the people of Iraq. It's about our lives and continued existence.

The Iraq war is NOT about oil!!!! I believe Joe is referring to the safety of OUR LIVES IN AMERICA! It is far better to fight the terrorists on their soil rather than on our soil.
