Some people are sad gits. I was n a shop the other day with an elderly woman and younger man who had cerebral palsy.
When he saw me waiting to pass he gently touched the woman's arm, I thanked him, then she. The smile on her face told me some people had either been outright unkind or had ignored him.

Whatever the persons views or religion it obviously is just a personal thing.
Nobody should be made to hide from being involved in life. We all have the right to participate in the community to the best of our abilities. It sounds like the guest who was asked to leave was causing problems and, as in any hotel, a troublesome guest is politely asked to behave or leave. It is the guests fault if she cannot deal with it.
I do not think religion really comes into it though.

If executed properly, something like this could work. You always have the possibility that the people will be mistreated, abused, unpaid, and the like. In my hometown, the adults with special needs all work at the recycling center; they crush pop cans. They also build bird houses and trophies in the back. But yes, ultimately, they are sequestered in their own little world.

No, not hidden away, but I think there is a strong argument for keeping people in a supportive environment. For many years I worked with people with learning difficulties and I saw many examples of people just being dumped into the 'community' and floundering badly.

Of course not. They're people, but with learning difficulties. They're part of society. That woman should be barred from every hotel in England. It's idiots like her who drag us back to the dark ages

I can't believe anyone would believe we need to keep special needs people seperate from the rest of society. There are lots of people I would like to be kept away from, druggies, rapists, murderers, people who whinge about their human rights after commiting crime after crime, kids with no respect for law, pc people chavs the list is endless.. You don't see down's syndrome people in the paper for committing crime or pretending to be christians
