I'm in a 7 player keeper league and I have the fifth pick. Due to our pts cap I kept:
Pujols
Berkman
Nathan
Zimmerman
Quentin
Chacin
Garza
I have the 5th pick with Beltran, Atkins, Manny, Bay, Dye, Abreu, Carpenter, F. Rodriguez, V. Martinez, Giambi and Francoeur the top picks. Pitchers get 11 pts for a win and 7 for a save, no WHIP. I'm sure the top 3-4 hitters will be gone so I'm torn between Martinez, C and 1B, Carp and Rodriguez. Who would you take?

With your lack of pitching, you might want to target Carpenter. Overall, I'd rank them as follows:
Beltran
Bay
Carpenter
Manny
Atkins
Abreu (he has a strained oblique)
Dye
K-Rod
V. Martinez
Giambi
Franceour
Carpenter is a top 5 pitcher, and I'm sure Beltran and Bay will both be gone by the time you pick. Carpenter is no slouch though, he will be your staff ace - and is a great pick to get in the equivalent of the 8th round.

Either take Fransisco Rodrigeuz, Garrett Atkins, or Beltran.
I'd say pick in this order (Beltran, Atkins, Rodrigeuz)
Beltran is a player that is just as good as soriano, but people will overvalue soriano to much so i'd pick him because he gives you Hr's and SB's

7 teams aren't enough. That few everything comes down to luck-as in who does the best job not getting hurt. Go by injury history and you'll finish in the top 3 for the next ten years.

If Carpenter is there take him, he is a sure fire ace for your rotation. if he is gone I'm tempted to say rodriguez, martinez and the abreu.
