In theory it sounds wonderful. However, in practical terms, not everyone can afford a pack up their apartment and pay for storage - or rent out their house, quit their job and have the extra funds required for the travel and accommodations.

Perhaps it is easier in European countries, but those of us in the US, the travel alone would be difficult -- financially -- for some.

It would be nice if the funding was there. Most college students are on grants and loans and are struggling to get through college so they can go to work to pay back loans. If the student can afford to study abroad and wants to fine. Most can't. I don't think it's a necessity though.

is best for them to study their own society cos that where their home is
they can always visit other culture when they feel the needs to do so after they finished school
