If i spent all my income on beer and can still afford the same number of beers now( i can) @ nearly 3 quid a pint..say 2.70
as i could when i started earning in 1977 @ 22p a pint....work out
my income then

the % increase in 30 years
How many beers?
and whether Tonies cronies would stop my benefits if he knew...
All figures are accurate..with the exception of Tony and his cronies..they are well out!! Mind you he was good for 10 years
as are most pets!

It's impossible to know all the answers based on this information. Let B be the number of beers you could purchase now. Then your current income is 2.70B. Your salary in 1977 was 0.22B. So it still depends on the number of beers you could afford. For example, in theory you could say you've only ever been able to afford 100 beers on a year's salary, which would mean your salary in 1977 was 220 quid and now it's 2700 quid. Or use some other number than "100" and you get different answers.

As for a percent increase, you can actually calculate that. If it went up from 0.22B to 2.70B, then the percent increase was (2.7B - 0.22B) / 0.22B = about 11.27, so about a 1,127% increase in salary.
