I am taking psychology, and cannot help but wonder if i might have one of those mental dissorders we read about. I know i am not the only one who might of had the thought/suspicion that one might be crazy. Do not be afraid to show yourselves.

And from simply thinking about this, would that mean i am or am not?

every psychology student compares what they are studying to themselves. It is a natural response. "Crazy" is such a relative term and is meaningless. Who hasn't been crazy at some point in their life? The difference is how you are able to cope.

You are probably in disbelief of the actions of otherwise sensible persons, till you think you are the crazy. What is happening is a movement to where the good are getting better, and the bad are getting worse, what was before, was being denied and put aside. Now things are brought to the light, and are being dealt with more seriously. It will gain momentum as seconds go by, and the age of accountability comes about, and on the starboard side, rather than the wake of the port.

As I psych major, I have researched many disorders, and while I don't think a have a full blown case of any single one, I do have some symptoms of many different ones. I sometimes have the inexplicable low moods of depression. I have the paranoid and distrustful thoughts that are common to paranoid schizophrenics. I have the preference of solitude of a schizoid. I have many issues with my alcoholic and depressive parents...

I could on, but you catch my drift. Taking psychology has definitely let me find out how screwed up I am, and others too.

It's natural to think this way because we are all different and gosh, everyone has issues.

To be clinically diagnosed as "crazy," the behavior in question needs to hit the four "D's" listed here: DANGER, DEVIANCE, DISTRESS, and DYSFUNCTION.

Does the behavior pose a danger to yourself or others? Is the behavior deviant from societal norms? Does it cause you a significant amount of distress? Does it cause significant dysfunction to your lifestyle, resulting in difficulty living efficiently?

It doesn't sound like you're crazy, but if you need a second opinion, I'm sure your teacher can refer you to a good psychologist!

Sure I took psychology................for the purpose of getting the job that I did get as a counselor.Because of what I learned, several years later, I noticed by my thought process and actions that I needed Psychiatric
help. I knew I was having a nervous breakdown and it turned out I have major depression. It was controlled for 16 with antidepressant medication. I am fine now and not on psychiatric medications. It did however take many years of talk therapy as well.

This happens to EVERY PSYCHOLOGY STUDENT!!!!!!! Don't worry. Although, when I took my very first psych class, it helped tremendously in figuring what was ultimately wrong with my brother, along with the post traumatic stuff and regression behaviors I was harboring in myself! When you first take psych, you're going to analyze every single person you know----THAT IS AFTER YOU GET THROUGH YOUR FAMILY!!!!! Don't be afraid to self analyze, but always remember diagnose FIRST......if you're a hypochondriac!!!!!!!! Because if you are, that'll take all the worry out of the rest of your self diagnosis' because it'll get trumped by that!!!!! I kid, but if you seriously think that you have attributes that may be something that you may want to look into, DO NOT HESITATE TO GET FURTHER INFORMATION FROM YOUR PROFESSOR OR OTHER MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES!!! Because you know that mental health is not something you want to ignore!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

I think everybody who takes psychology and some who don't but just read about it wonder if they have certain psychological disorders. It is only natural. Everybody has some quirks, you just might not know about their's but you know about yours. Doesn't mean ur crazy.Just human.

I think the only people that NEVER think they might be a little crazy are the truly crazy people. Part of keeping your sanity is realizing when you're on the edge.

I think everyone thinks about it more than each one of them ACTUALLY realises. Our emotions control us and we end up doing things we never thought we were capable of.

Note: According to my observations, all people with the best form of self-control are seemingly more psychotic than those who easily over react; They're no longer afraid of anything. This is how i see it.
