what is legal percent on tinted windows

Each state and country have their own laws.
Some allow down to 30% light on the front windows
Some allow limo (10%) tint on back windows.
Some allow this and that... other allow almost nothing

depends on what state you are in and how old the car is i got a 87 cadi and the back windows can be as dark as you want but the front have to be lighter i forgot what percentage but none on windsheild except if its partial like visor and mirror tint is not allowed when you go to get them tinted they will tell you and also dont roll your windows down for a few days after tinting they will mess up

Windshield - No tinting allowed on the windshield.
Front side windows - Must allow more than 50% of light in.
Back side windows - Must allow more than 50% of light in.
Rear Window - Must allow more than 50% of light in.

Legal percent ... didn't think we have that in New Zealand.
Lots of cars, even new ones you cannot see through any of the windows to see who is inside.
