Female guinea pigs have a 20% chance of dying each pregnancy. Do you even know the health risks involved or how to care for a pregnant guinea pig? How to care for both the babies and the mother after they're born? Did you know that if she has any male babies they must be removed at 3 weeks old or they will get their own mother pregnant again? Please reconsider breeding your pigs. Don't breed when there are thousands of guinea pigs waiting for homes in animal shelters across the world.

As far as why they're not mating, are you sure that they are male and female? Sometimes pet stores will incorrectly tell you the wrong gender of the guinea pig. Try this website: http://www.cavyspirit.com/sexing.htm

Don't do it....I don't know how old the female is but if she is over 8 months old and has never before had a litter then she will have major complications during birth...their pelvis fuses around that age and the babies get stuck...calling for a c section which can result in the loss of both the mom and the babies!!!
