I have started to receive prank calls on my Orange mobile. I dont want to go to the police and I dont want to change my number. I have asked Orange to provide me details but they wont. Under the Data Protection act I can request ALL the information Orange hold on me. Will this information include a list of received calls? Do phone companies log this? They wont do this until I escalate. Does anyone else know of a way of obtaining this information? Help would be appreciated. I know WHO it is.. I just need formal confirmation before I confront them.

yes mobile companies do keep a watch on received calls. These are confidentila and let out only in the extreme cases.

Hi, I haved worked for many mobile and comms companys developing software for them. All I can say is that yes they have logs, they have logs or every call made to and from your handset, what time it was (to the exact second) and the date. They wont give you the information under the data protection act, you would have to get a line search done, which also involved the police....

You can request a detailed bill from your carrier. It will display incoming and outgoing calls. You can also try calling customer support to get this number. Once you have it, call customer support and ask them to block all calls from this number. If this is too much work, you can go to your local store, or call customer service, and they can change your phone number for you. It shouldn't effect your contract in any way. Hope this helps

Yes they do if you call up Orange they can tell you the number if it keeps happening you can then block it, also you can block withheld number by calling up Orange, if you are really sick and tired of them call Ofcom and they should be able to do some thing about!
