I would try something practical, such as stuff that your mum can use, related to something that she likes. So if your mum likes cooking or gardening, then you could get her something that she doesn't have that is related to that. Or if your mum likes fresh flowers in the house, like my mum, then you could buy her a vase. Or if she likes fashion, then you could try nice item of clothes or a nice accessory. This is what I've been giving my mum for a while and she hasn't complained. My mum was never the chocolates, bath stuff, and flowers person.

Insist she does nothing but be pampered.Someone do the housework and cooking remembering to cook something special or her favourite meal.Fetch the papers for her and allow a lie in with breakfast in bed.Buy some luxury bath products, run her a bath bedecked with candles.then clean the bath for her after.Cater to her every need and i am sure she will love it.I know i would.

Just do something from your heart... it doesnt have to be a gift. Pick out photos from your whole life and make an album that you look through with that day. Just spend the whole day together, and I can see you really are a good daughter as you're already thinking about her and wont just go for the "normal". Good luck: its the thought and love that counts!

I love a girls night out with my daughters. We go shopping and then out to dinner. We always have a blast and our husbands know where we are and don't mind. None of us drink and we are safe. We have also done dinner and a movie. The husbands really like that one because we always go and see a sappy chick flick and that gets them out of taking us themselves.

Just plan a day with you and your mom and she will love it and cherish it forever.. Trust me, I have three grown daughters and enjoy the times we get together without the men.

Facial, manicure, massage for both of you.
One of my friends loved getting all these from her daughters but didn't appreciate the voucher for a brazilian waxing.

I would find out what my mum wanted, and do and at least some of those things. Give her the gift of your time as well.
