Yes, I have a grandson who does that. Anything that my son does he has to do. When he was real small he would always have to answer the phone like they do. My son wears a tool belt for his job so my grandson has to wear his. They both get real excited during the football games. He looks so much like my son that my grandson could pass for my sons twin. My daughter-in-law says that my grandson is my sons "Minnie Me!"

Yes, I have a daughter who likes to watch me and copy me on just about everything I do. Now that she is older, 10, she likes to watch me put on my make-up and shave my legs, lol. It is so true that you have to watch what you do in front of your kids, because they can and often will copy you. That is why it is so important to be a good role model. Kids don't always follow the "Don't do what I do" philosophy very well. Like they say: Monkey see, monkey do.

Imitation is said to be the sincerest form of flattery. However, if you call this "mocking" you, then perhaps it is not flattery, but disrespect that needs to be addressed (depending on the child's age). And, no, my children/grandchildren do not mock me - they have better manners.
