Winding-up of Loose Rope

When winding up a loose rope, unscrew the brake clamp nut 1 in LH direction, fully home to upper position. The resistance created will facilitate a correct winding-up of the rope on the drum. Check a correct winding-up of the rope on the drum!

Fully home...in this context....means ....'as far as it will unscrew'.

If you are adjusting brakes, friend, as an amateur.......then don't. Go to somebody who knows what they are doing. You could cause serious harm with faulty brakes.

It means basically all the way until it can't be unscrewed anymore, to the upright position.
