After downloading the programme. He is unable to open it.... the microsoft security logo is super imposed over the programme and nothing we try can open the programme to install it on the lap top....
any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Yep, you jumped the gun and bought Vista. Not really sure how a program such as vista can even be released when they don't make it compatible with everything out there, before hand. They delayed it how many times, and still it's not anywhere near ready or compatible with alot of things. Basically when a new operating system comes around, give it 4 to 6 months before buying it, or you'll always run into this problem.

Vista has an issue with it's video display program. Try downloading it on another computer that does not have Vista installed. For now there is nothing that can be done until Microsoft fixes the bugs in it's program

make sure u can use the program on vista. Thats why we say dont rush and dont buy vista, not all current and also new softwares are compatible with vista yet.

That is one problem with new operating systems. Sometimes older software just won't work. The only thing you can do is get with the guys who wrote the program and see if they have a version that will run on Vista.
