If the roads here are bumpy and least maintained. (major traffic eyesore)
Also that the cars are from Asian countries (Ford, Chevy and anywhere else cars are found here only few except the Ford Everest SUV is popular).

What is the kind of car that suits here?

probably your best bet is Toyota Land-cruiser. if Chinese is possible maybe a Beijing Tiger [supposedly built on the jeep xj platform] if cost is no object get a H-1 Hummer with Duramax diesel.[ the 6.2 litre G.M.diesel is worthless, as are H2 and H3 hummers] although the Lada makes a tough chassis door hardware and electrical issues make even the worst British crap appear reliable

Toyota Rav4 is a nice mini SUV. It's amazing to see most American car manufacturers cutting jobs by moving out of U.S. & Japanese car manufacturers creating more jobs by building plants here in the country.

i took a taxi from phnom phen cambodia to thialand paipet thailand and there is no road only a dirt one and it is rwally ruff and believe it or not the toyota camry was the most popular and could stand the abuse i never thought that car could do that but it does and it does it well

try nissan frontier 4x4 2000 edition or the latest, it can stand the test of times in roads or offroads, trust me, i own one (model 2000) and it's on its seventh year come april 20! no maor repairs for that one and i still can see the admiring looks with wow! from people who knows about cars...
