An absolute waste of time. British sci-fi programs are rubbish!

I agree with you except I don't think that torchwood is a good example to compare with I also take issue with the assertion by one of the replies who rubbishes Brit sci-fi - to that individual I say actually watch or read some before you make sweeping statements. In every form of the genre Brits are always ahead of the game most of the US sci -fi is badly rehashed copies of episodes of Dr who or classic stuff like space 1999. The odd time that the US comes up with something truly original it gets cancelled or "Adapted" for TV which means watered down, because ratings determine what gets shown. Things like Star Trek (the original series) however entertaining, is basically cowboys and Indians in outer space and all subsequent series are not classic sci-fi they are what has become known as "Future history", in other words war story, or sleazy, down at heel detective or political satire, set in outer space, in the future. Sci-fi does not have to be about the future or in a galaxy far away or include vampires, people with super powers or mention the time- space continuum every time they need to make a connection.

Primeval is rubbish..... its basically ITV's version of doctor who/ torchwood.... I'm 13 and I'm a Torchwood ADDICT! My 6 yr old cousin watches Primeval and thats just because he likes dinosaurs! Me, my mum and the rest of the family love Torchwood!

Only seen 1 Primevil so far but at moment of 2 much prefer Torchwood
