well my ears hav been pierced twice before (on the earlobe) and i had to let them close up cuz they got infected. and this weekend i am getting my ears pierced again with 14k gold earrings. now after my ears heal will i be able to wear normal earrings like silver or somthing???? plz help me!!!

Well, you may be allergic to nickel. If you are, you can't wear normal earrings. The way you tell if you're allergic to nickel is if you wear earrings with nickel in them and you're allergic, your ears will burn and swell up. If you go to buy earrings, make sure you only buy the earrings that say on the package "nickel free" or "sensitive ears".

id wear gold but also make sure you are taking care of and keeping your ears cleaned...that maybe the problem too..ask the person piercing ur ears the correct method for keeping ur ear piercings clean

i would start out with 10 or 14 kt gold for awhile and then go to something for sensitive ears (sterling silver etc.)

most likely ...unless uve sensitive skin , then u need to get those earings suitable for sensitive skin ....try to leave on ure gold earings for 2 wks after u pierce ure ears :P ...

oh no. please dont do it now.. it will just irritate your ear and worsen it. just wait for a few more months before it totally heals, ok? while you wait apply alcohol to it so it will heal soon, ok? then after that you can wear any earrings again, provided it is not allergic to your ear?

yea, u would i had the same problem cause my mom got my ears pierced when i was 2 year old. and i still have them and i'm wearin any cause i have about 2,000 ear rings in my room. haha

Try putting NEEM (margosa) twigs (extremely small - 1.5 cm) in the newly pierced lobe for sometime, say like a week or ten days. Neem has healing properties.......afterwards you can wear anything...this is traditionally done in India......highly recommended...

well i dont think u should done it because i affraid will be efected just like last time.. but if u still wat to do it i think u should lokk for the most beutiful earings in that shop....
