My mom started when she was 12. every time I come 2 my mom about asking bout my period and stuff she laugh and say awww period and start making fun of me. I don't feel cofertible asking other women or any1 else so I need yalls advice. When will I start?

Most of girls started at their mother age, you may start at 12 or 14yrs... but you dont need to worry that is normal. Take more fruits, diets rich in fibre and for GOD SAKE dont starve to become slim as most of your age group girl do. It will harm you.

The sooner the women of your family started, the sooner you will start.
To start having periods, a girl has to weigh 45 kg or more, and usually she starts about a year after the beginning of mammary development or pubic hair development.
It is ok if you had not your periods yet, you can wait some years yet (one or two at the most)

Well a good indicator is usually when your Mom started, which is 12. So it may just be around the corner for you. Of course changes with your body is a sign that puberty is beginning. There's no rush to it, trust me, plenty of women wish they didn't have to deal with it! Just consider yourself lucky for awhile =)
