i'm not very good at philosophy, but i guess i can take a crack at it:

the crane sees the world better through shut eyes because he doesnt need to see to understand. he can FEEL the world, through the wind that blows through his feathers, through the sun that warms his body. he is advanced agility doesnt make him superior, but it does provide him with an advantage over the rest of the world. the other leg is not necessary to keep his balance, but when the first gets tired, all he has to do is switch. if both legs had been used, they would get tired simultaneously and he would have to either sit down or fly off.

the other phrase strikes me as follows: u may have pulverised the pearl but all u managed to do was lose it. i didnt lose, for i never had it. i may not have gained, but i never had anything to lose in the first place, so i am as content as i was before. the loss is entirely ur own since u were the one who had something to lose and you destroyed it at ur own will. in the end the only person who will feel bad is you. so u loss and ultimately, i have won.

Do you think that it means different things to different people?

To me the first shows that perception does not always depend on the senses.

The second tells me that you are the one that lost because I had no interest in winning, or in making you the looser.

Love and blessings Don

I think that if you had taken the time to write out all your words that I would take time to consider your question but since you didn't I refuse to suffer to read your question.
