Okay, maybe not the worst, but i really don't understand why everyone loves it so much. I thought it was tacky, cheesy, American, utter c r a p. The songs made me cringe and the only thing i thought was good was how coordinated the dancing was. Did you enjoy it, and if so, please explain WHY?

Finally someone who totally AGREES WITH ME!!!!
I feel exactly the same way about High School Musical as the way you do...it was absolutely rubbish and had no proper story-line whatsoever. I mean everyone at my school (and i go to secondary/high school) fell in love with it, literally! I don't see how though! I can understand if there were like a few people who like it coz everyone has different tastes, but nearly my whole year? I can't believe how thats possible! And no one agrees with me!
The other thing that bugs me is that "High School Musical 2" is coming out very soon and honestly im going to go mad (especially at skl as every1s gonna talk about it 24/7) Its just soo boring....so in a way 'yes' HSM is in one of my "worst movies list!".....

I've seen so may questions about love for it,but I really don't get it,like the songs are cheesy,and the plot of the movie was really predictable.You can only wonder what the second one will be like.

I've seen some great high school musicals and plays. They put on a regular production these days. I've seen some great, great ones. That's where a lot of the professionals got their start; in school musicals and plays. That's where the bug bit them.
We can't live without music. It's everywhere you turn and look.

My kids love it but i think its so cheesy!!!The soundtrack is very catchy though so i can see why its so popular.
The bad news is theres high school musical 2 to look forward to later this year!!! More cheese!!!

I'm with you there. My little cousins are obsessed with High School Musical. of course anything that is on television is popular with kids here in America. I can't stand it. I work for the Disney Store, and it still drives me crazy.

it is one of those cheesy kids movies, but the music gets stuck in your head because it's so catchy. It's just one of those Disney movies with the Fairytale sort of ending that everyone hopes for.

Well, it's not the worst ever movie is it really - my son loves it and so do most of his friends - like all Disney movies - it has a hidden message in it - that's the point - you can do anything if you put your mind to it!!!
If it encourages him to achieve at school and in his life - fine by me - it seems to have had the desired affect!

hi!i like it very much.you know.Before watching it,i was really tired,sad and sleepy because i watched it at about 11p.m.while watching it,i had a fresh feeling.i like actors,actresses,music in film.i realized that i need improve my Englished to be able to sing like them.i feel vitality from it.if you watch it again, listen to music in it carefully and specially when you are sad,you will feel more comfortable.i think so.will you try doing that? i don't know you would like it because every body has personals feeling.i hope you like it.bye!

I thaught this film was total crap and a waste of my time. To sit and watch that again i would need my head testing. I have told everyone i know notto bother withit.

well I agree with you partly, cause its really not that amazing! but you have your opinions cause alot of other people like the movie! at first I thought it was really lame, but it has some good parts! just give the movie a chance.
