I do like them very much, but I've never met a spotty horse who didn't have a screw loose! I was riding an appaloosa gelding, warming up at a dressage competition, but his fuses blew and he turned in to a rodeo horse! I dislocated my shoulder, but I still enjoyed riding him...

Appaloosas are a breeds of horses. They are white or grey with balck or brown spots in their coats.
As to the question, I think they look quite striking, but I would pay more attention to the overall shape and confirmation of the horse as well as their temperment, rather than just the coat.

I love them, I used to have a job as an appaloosa stalion handler in a stud farm.
As a breed they are very intelligent and extremely cheeky, and think thats what I like most of all.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone I know that owns one, loves them. Are you buying a picture of one or are you planning on owning one? If you love them and treat them fair any horse can be a good one. They deserve the best treatment.

If you like unusual coloured horses, check out the colour of this Akhal Teke, top left. They come in gold and silver. It really is a metallic colour.

They're great.
But I prefer quarter horses and Aussie stock horses.
Palamino and pinto are my favourite colours.
