For a small room pastels are best so you don't feel closed in. If you are thinking pink and black I would go with a pastel pink on the walls and trim them in black. Use black and pink stripe curtains and accessories like bedspreads and pillow cases. You can find the fabric you want at any fabric store or on line. Have fun and good luck!

A small room will feel even smaller if you paint it with black and pink stripes. Will probably feel like a jail cell.
I have seen cute walls done by picking one color and using different surfaces to make the stripes. One flat stripe alternating with another in the same color but with a glossy finish. Subtle, but very cool. Then you can use small accents of black in the room without making it too dark.
Hope this gives you ideas.

attempt traveling the library or bookstores(my fashionable) to income the homestead adorning books and magazines to get ideals. Or attempt examining the biggest colorings on your needed or modern furniture and adorning accents mutually with lamps, photos, vases, bookshelves, and mattress covers. with a bit of luck you will detect a color which will circulate with all those products. If nonetheless caught, circulate to Sherwin Williams, homestead Depot or Lowes or any paint supplier that has a lot of paint pattern enjoying cards, and take each and every of the paint pattern enjoying cards that capture your fancy. Take turns taping them on your wall and spot the type you like those colorings throughout the day and night. as quickly as you narrowed down the recommendations, circulate decrease back and spot in case you may get those pattern paints in the two or 3 ozjars and paint a pattern board (white poster board or white cardboard field from food market) to be certain a extra physically powerful pattern that can assist you're making an exceedingly final determination. wish this facilitates....

if you really want stripes DO NOT do them on all the walls!! it makes it way too busy, especially in a small room. (ive seen some like this and it will eventually drive you nuts) instead pick a focus wall and put stripes on that one. pink and black would look really nice, just make sure the stripes are on the thin side. too thick and it will make the room look smaller and darker. or you could do a few different sizes of stripes but nothing too thick. have fun with it...good luck!

I would pick 2 colors that you would like and go for it. I wouldn't use black, it might make you feel bad. I would use a very light color whatever you choose. Say you choose blue, get the lightest blue you can find and then choose a grey or the color you want to go with it. This can be a little darker, but not real dark.

I like pink and black, Why don't you just do stripes on the wall in back of your bed. and paint the other walls a different color. Maybe a lime green. or reverse it and paint the 3 walls pink and behind the bed black and Lime green /with a thin pink.

It depends what you are using your room for . I you are a psychopathic serial killer, Then I think tones of black and red in a kind of dripping stroke to give it that real death chamber feel about it, You could always add to it with the blood of your dismembered corpses to add to the genuine authenticity and it would also smell like a chamber of horrors too.
But if you want to do say flower arranging then try some pinks lilacs and yellows for the comming summer effect.

if the room is small, then i think you should use bright and light colors, because black walls may make you feel like the room is even smaller and darker. i'd prefer colors like yellow and orange... maybe a dark green color...
but if you insist on black, then try to place the black stripes far away from one another:)

Since you have a small room, stick with lighter colors. Dark colors will make a small room look and feel smaller. You have hundreds of options with pastels. Go with colors YOU like and make YOU feel good.

I am a painter, and from my experience, the dark colors always get repainted first.
But if you must go to a dark color, forest green is very popular right now.
