There are many constellations, some old, like Orion others relatively new like Horologium. Just go onto a search engine and type in constellations. But there aren't a definite number for our universe, the constellations are made of stars that are visible to the naked eye, whether they be 10 or 100 light years away, it just depends how bright they are. They are many parts of our universe that we don't see. So the number of constellations would be how many could be seen from earth
