The distinctions between men and women are much greater on the individual basis than on the mild trends of the whole.

Men and women are equal, but this is a lesson many have yet to learn. We call them "feminists".

In this day and age, male and female equality is subject to the environment.

As an attorney, I find that there are a lot of female judges and a lot of female attorneys. And they get paid the same as male judges and attorneys.

In relationships, some males dominate, while in others, some females dominate.

However, as far as actual leadership positions are concerned, there has never been a female president or Division 1 or Professional head football coach...

Equality of 'value' and right to an equal voice, but not equal as in identical, clearly. In areas like law, where in our country more females are now entering law schools than males, there is definitely equality, ditto with other 'brain' industries. However, women have greater lower body strength, for example, and men have greater upper body strength, and sometimes this matters.

In the workplace I see them as equal. Equal work and equal pay. I do see too may women who want the pay but cannot do the work. That damages our cause. In the home if there are children they need to be parents and the focus should be on raising what they brought into the world. I think a parent (don't care which one) should be home while the children are being raised. I think this generation shows the lack of parental support and influence of day care, latch key etc.
I like being a woman and I like being treated as a woman, just as I like a man to be a man.

This question is poping up all the time. the answer is not yes or no.

Male and female have different roles to play in life. Not because of any belief but because of the nature of it.

There are things that men generaly are better at than women are. There are also many things that the females are much better at. I said generaly and that does not mean that the gals cant do anything we guys cn do and the other way arund for most things.

What is to be strived for is to have equal opertunity for either sex to succede in life the best they can.

equal opertunity for all but not necessaraly that we all will be wqual.

I think that men and women are equal sociologically but unfortunately not biologically. Men on average can father to a later age than women can mother. This puts a great strain on women as they enter their 40s they can think of little else than to get pregnant before they reach 52 when most women can no longer have children. Hopefully in the future with more research being done women will no longer have to worry about their fertility and be able to have children at a more desirable older age naturally. Apart from that I think women are equal in the Western world, although there is still more ageism directed at women. for an example there are a lot of dirty old men, and we are still living in a youth orientated culture where youth is valued especially in women more than being successful, interesting and knowledgeable. Society still see successful women as a treat but successful men as attractive, it is called double standards. I think it is not easy for Hilary to get into presidency because she is a woman, whereas there seems to be less discrimination against a black man becoming president, because he is a man and that is power in its self. When women do become powerful there is a lot of negative words used against them because men like to be at the top and they feel frightened by a powerful woman.

There are things that men can do better than women because of simple differences in physical strength. Beyond that, there are few differnces in term of capability. Sex has nothing to do with intelligence, drive, wisdom, ability to care for others, or any of the typical things that people like to bring up. On the other hand, the present laws in America offer up far more protections to women than it does to men. Child custody, employment law, and other discriminatory "affirmative action" statutes still exist. Once they are removed, we will have the chance to make this debate go away.

It shouldn't matter what sex a person is, we should all be treated equally. Unfortunately, many places throughout the world have yet to ensure that male/females are equal in every way...

we are all equal as long as you let me be in charge!!! lol jk
I think both sexes have strengths and weaknesses, but I believe most of it is a generational conditioning that we have turned ourselves into the stereotypes we are accused of.
Until women start to TRULY believe we can live without a man we will continue to live for them, thereby negating all equality.
Women who are raised to believe they are as strong as a man will prove it. Women who are raised to be "girls" then they will follow the female victim "stereotype". The whole, men are superior theory is their destiny.
It doesnt' matter what anybody else thinks you can accomplish if you dont' believe it yourself!!
