I never knew my real dad, he was a one night stand my mum had - she has a lot of those, and she drinks a lot as well. One stepdad is in prison and one was killed. Also living in a pretty rough area of the city doesnt help. I know im FAR from perfect but i think ive done alrite considering my upbringing.

Other than their smoking when I was younger, I have absolutely no complaints. My parents are wonderful people and are still married after almost 42 years. They were high school sweethearts and have been good examples for me.

Dad was and is a alcoholic!
Mom used to run off with other men all the time!
So I had a rough time growing up and got the heck beat out of me all the time for nothing sometimes and still have the scars to prove it Dad did not know which end of the belt he was using when he was drunk and them buckles brought blood.

Yes. Dad taught me to work hard and I would be rewarded.
The way it is where I work is the opposite.
Hard workers get more work.
Slackers get to be supervisors.
If you promote a hard worker you have the slacker doing the job. If the slacker is promoted there is no lost work.

Yes, I certainly do...but maturity has allowed me to sweep all of that past crap under the rug. It takes too much time of real living to dwell on it.
