In 1963 when I took my GCE English Literature exam, which I passed, my main topic was the book 'My Early Life' by Sir Winston Churchill. It was a fascinating book covering many interesting aspects of the great man's life from birth to his becoming a Member of Parliament for the first time. It also covered his time in the Sudan as a prisoner of war when he was a War Correspondent for a daily newspaper.

If you are not from England find a similar book by one of your statesmen, if U S, perhaps Lincoln or Washington.
