I mean, ok, it's the capital city and all, but there is a country outside of that one city.
I asked a question about the North East, and half of the replies said anywhere out of London was rubbish and that we scrounge off what Londoners make.
I cannot see anything that great about London personally, been a few times, always noisy, dirty and weirdest of all, the people didn't speak. Up here, people say good morning or whatever, even when you don't know them, in London they just walked past.

Anyone that talks about London being the 'centre of the known universe' or words to that effect needs a serious reality check. Yes, London has a large and vocal population. Yes London is a fascinating and (in some cases) powerful city. However there is also immense poverty, inequality, crime so high that certain areas are no-go, etc. As with most capital cities London is by no means representative of the rest of the UK in some ways it represents (if anything) some of the worst things about this country and it's people.

London is the centre of Western Civilisation today as Rome was in its day. The hub of the universe is also a good thought as well. But I know of Americans who think that the universe revolves round their own back garden!

Yes, but you get used to the indifference of people when you discover the joys of a capital life

There is loads to do there but you are right. The people aren't friendly at all. A lot of them seem to have a superiority complex too.
