No, they are 2 seperate entities.
You simpy uninstall the dial up software then your ISP will send you a broadband disc, install that and wait for them to connect you.
Normally takes 14 days roughly.

When i had dial up from bt and changed to broardband they sent me some new software to use .And it works well .You don't need a new mac code'

You might but normally you shouldn't. Find it by going to Start-> run ->type in "cmd" if you have XP or "command" if you have win 98 (without the quotes). Click ok or enter. At the prompt type ipconfig /all (with a space between ipconfig & the /) & press enter.
You will see your physical address By MAC code, I am assuming you mean Mean MAD Address.
