dislocation foot and shattered heel bone twice same foot extremely painful and long healing time. I believe a broken hip is probably one of the worst injuries. When it swells it has no place to go and the pressure at the socket is extreem
Hip fractures are very dangerous episodes especially for elderly and frail patients. The risk of dying from the stress of the surgery and the injury in the first few days is about 10%. If the condition is untreated the pain and immobility imposed on the patient increase that risk. Problems such as pressure sores and chest infections are all increased by immobility. The prognosis of untreated hip fractures is very poor.

I saw my brother break the biggest and hardest bone in your body to break. His femur bone broke in half and both ends protruded through the skin. A couple weeks ago, my dad's foot did a 180 degree turn - that was gruesome.
My worst self inflicted injury - I accidentally hit the major artery in my leg - lucky I lived (oops)....
