Yesterday I wore some shoes that weren't completly broken in yet, and I had to walk an unexpected 30 minutes in them, so today I'm left with a very large blister on my big toe. The problem is that tonight I have a ball to go to, and I need to wear high heals, and the straps happen to lay across the blister. It is too late now to buy new shoes, so does anyone have an idea on what I should do to make tonight a bit less painful?

Don't pop it! You will be miserable if you are wearing heels over an open sore blister. Instead, get moleskin (it's like a bandaid but better) and you wont be able feel the blister. Also, moleskin is fleshy coloured so it wont clash with your shoes.

i agree with englishbabe93. I find that if I "pop" the blister it hurts so much less. be sure that you use a sterlized needle to this so that it does not get infected. cover with the mole skin and maybe some neosporin. Also, be sure you do not remove the skin covering the blister. That will cause infection. see attached for proper technique to this problem.

I agree with englishbabe93, pop it. I've done this with several blisters, and -for me- it actually hurts less afterwards; just make sure you disinfect with plenty of peroxide aftewards.

I'd suggest lopping off that toe. Keep it on ice in case you want it re-attached later.

this sounds nasty but pop it so it wont irritate you, it will probably be sore but its best to get rid of it
