Did he have an agenda? Does he come up with his own ideas?
He does not seem to like the government very much. Did he want to become President to help bring down the giant federal bureaucracy. He seems dedicated to showing that the government can not perform well (the war, Katrina, Walter Reed).

All presidents have an agenda. I think Bush was good intentioned in his efforts, though it seems you've already made up your mind that he wasn't.

Katrina was a local government disaster above all else and the fastest national hurricane rescue in history. The coast guard in particular really delivered in that time of crisis. A terrible tradgedy with heros and villians, of which Bush was neither. Sorry.

I'm not sure about you, but I believe that removing a genocidal dictator and killing those who would wish to slaughter our innocent to be a "good thing". I think most would agree.

The conditions at walter Reed Army hospital have been in decline long before President Bush EVER took office! The war was to let the terrorists know that we will not take another september 11th lying down and the government has helped the Katrina victims but it has been awhile and the residents need to start doing their share. I believe he became President for the reason most do and that is to try and make this country the best it can be!

He wanted to be President to give this country a reason to be proud for at least 8 years...not so sure I will be a proud American if Clinton or Obama get elected...

As for KATRINA, I am SO SICK of hearing how President Bush failed Louisiana. I am from Louisiana, and - trust me on this one- it was the LOCAL GOVERNMENT that failed. The President was in contact with Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin and asked them what they needed days before Katrina hit. The governor told the President to hold off sending help because they thought the crisis would pass. Then, when it didn't, all of a sudden it becomes the President's fault for not sending help in time. When will the mayor's and the governor's accountability come into play? It is just so easy to blame the President for everything, isn't it? Why don't you get your facts straight before spouting your leftist liberal nonsense?

I'm not really sure he actually "wanted" to be president but he was suckered into it. He had the name and an endless supply of money, so why not let the repubs talk you into it? King George rules his kingdom thru his trusy sidekick, Sir Dick and the other oafs in his cabinet. They set all policy, because he's not smart enough to. Everything he's ever run, has been run into the ground. I know. I'm from Texas and remember. Andarko Petroleum, the Texas Rangers, etc., etc., etc. That money his daddy spent for him to get his MBA really paid off didn't it with a C average?

As I said after his first "victorious" election: Money can buy you anything!

GWB is a puppet (as is a lot of Washington's finest), bought and paid for by big business.

Frankly, I don't think he wanted to run. His brither Jeb was scheduled to do it. He was chosen by the neocons because they knew that they could sway him anyway they wanted and they have done so very well. He, himself remains ignorant of the gravity of the situation his administration has brought upon us.

His daddy threatened to take away his oil wells if he didn't run for president, and give them to Jeb "Redneck" Bush.
