its called CAOLEBOX. and has no extension, when i try delete it says cannot read from source???

Try finding it in task manager. (right click on the task bar below) and see if it is a running task. If so tell it to stop and then go to add/delete pograms in control panel.

It could be an alternative data stream (ADS), which means you have a file hidden on your computer. You can download programs that help you detect these files because your OS shouldn't be able to. But in this instance you can see it on your desktop, which in itself is a little worrying.

Look up ADS on Google and you'll find out how to create and remove these files.

restart the pc in safe mode By pressing f8 on startup (Keep preeing till you get the menu)

Delete the file and restart

you have to use ms-dos promt

start-programs-accesories-command prompt

if you cant use it you must learn the commands from the internet.

1. disable your internet connection

2. disable your anti-virus

3. delete the file

4. enable your anti-virus
