I live near the Green/Adirondack/Catskill/Berkshire mountains and also very near the Hudson River(only pretty in the country) so it just depends which way I head. I am about 20 miles from the mountains in Vermont & Massachusettes so that would be the closest.

I look out my bedroom window and i can see the beach as its across the road! The sea is a lovely sight first thing in the morning! And i can see the fishing boats all lined up. It really is lovely.
Out of my living room window i can see the east hill with its lift (if you knew Hastings you'd know how beautiful that is!)
I am truly blessed!

I can see Bath's Royal Cresent from my window (way in the distance though) I wouldn't have to go very far to get a great view of the city, which is good as Bath is supposedly the most beautiful city in Britain!

I'm looking out of my window now as I'm typing this answer. I can see my green lawn, then a hedge, then rolling green hills and pastures of the beautiful English Countryside. The pastures are full of sheep with their little lambs. Ahhh, you can't get much better than that!

the nearest best view i have is the city sky line at night when all the lights are on and the city just sits there glowing, its pretty relaxing and the fact that no one is around where i have to drive to see it helps a lot.

nothing so lovely. a hill top gives a nice sunset, but that's about it. I would have to travel into the mountains a bit, to some really great views of the vallies.
