We hear in the media about subconscious and conscious parts of our minds. I took a consciousness graduate class and let me tell you, it was like nailing jello to a wall. There is no way to describe or delegate when it comes to a mind.

There are many different views in Psychology. Freud would say you have an Id, Ego and Superego. ID being the part of your mind that says in essence -see cookie, want cookie, take cookie. The Ego is the part of your mind that starts to see right and wrong and the Superego makes the determination, it is what people call "conscious".

The superego is the only conscious part of your mind according to Freud.

I listed a pretty good short page explanation of the three Freudian parts of the mind.

If you are interested in other psych theories, you should look up Existentialism, which is fascinating. Victor Frankel was interesting.

Super conscious mind
?

The duality of Mind: u hv only one mind, but it hs two distinct and characteristic functional parts with separate attributes and powers.
they are:
subjective & objective minds
conscious &subconscious minds
waking &the sleeping minds
the surface &the deep self
voluntary &the involuntary mind
male &the female minds etc.

you are planting seeds of thought in your subconscious mind all day long.as u sow in yr sub conscious mind ,so shall u reap in yr body and environment.
yr subconscious mind never sleeps or rests.it is always on the job, controlling all yr vital forces
scientists ,edison, marconi, einstein knew how to use their subconscious mind to their advantage.

Sub conscious mind:

Conscious mind:
Freud proposed three levels of consciousness,or awareness;
the conscious:we are aware of certain things around us and of certain thoughts.
the preconscious:memories or thoughts are easily available with a moment's reflection-for example, what we had for breakfast,or our parent's first names.
the unconscious:memories, thoughts and motives which we can not easily call up.

Yeah, I like the ID thing.
It is like going nuts and not being able to control it.
What will I do? Where will I go? How will I do it? It is hopeless! All is lost! There is no way out! This is the end! etc etc.
Kind of like a bad dream.
The other part EGO controls the ID from going off the deep end and makes sense of the situation.
