Is ECNR stamp required on the passport for travelling from India to Muscat (Oman)?

Now a days there are various reports regarding ECR & ECNR. What is the latest government rules in this regard.

Yes, you should get ECNR stamped on your passport before leaving for Muscat. Recently the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India have been simplified the criteria for ECNR status. Submit your passport along with the attested copy of your educational certificates (matriculation or above) and you will get back your passport on the same day.
