It is possible.
First you need to have a strategy.
When you say 1 year, is that this year (2007) or 1 year in the long run.
If that is this year, you need to have some capital first. You can prosper in Property/Real Estate industry by buying some run down or real estate owned by bankrupted or people with financial problems for a low price. Develop that property and re-sell at a premium. If you make 2 deals a month with £50,000 profit each, you are making £100,000 a month and you will get £1.2 m at the end of the year.
For above you need to learn and understand the tricks, rules and nature of property/real estate.
Or if this is for your long term future, you can start building up your career. Getting an MBA from leading business schools in the UK eg, London Business School, you may be earning in excess of £60,000 per annum. From that income, you can start investing in property and stocks. From the combination of post-MBA income and returns from property, you will be making £1 or more a year.
Be sure to register to be resident of Isle of Man or Channel Islands for tax purposes.

Get everyone you know to leave you money in their will and then arrange for an accident to befall them - this of course helps if you have rich parents or are friends with minor royalty or public school types. Use all of this inheritance to invest in some kind of venture and appear on Dragon's Den.
Alternatively try out for the Apprentice where you will automatically get a million £ a year job, of course you have to work for Alan Sugar!

Find something that you can make £1 on and trade 1 million of them every year. It seems obvious but it works!

im just playing, thats a fast way but its defintley not smart. you can make 1 million in a year by some how finding bill gates house adress and mailing him a letter. if u tell him its for a medical reason he'll help you out. its worked before. good luck :) oh and please rate me best answer
