What wavelength of IR radiation is required to see through walls?

It should depend on the materials of the wall. Adding a layer of insulator, for example, will block out most IR. But microwaves and longer wavelengths should still pass through unless it is a sheet of metal which zeroes out the wave's electric field due to the high electrical conductivity.
