I dont think it has, when i was there at xmas it was full of anybody and everybody! but if i was you, i would wear something nice! i went looking a bit scruffy and felt rubbish because so many people make a massive effort and i felt very concious that i looked very unpolished! Now i make sure i look half decent so dont feel so bad (i know its sad to worry about what others think but its hard not to when you are surrounded by lots and lots of very polished people!!!)

It does, if you do plan to go there make sure you dress sensibly. Don't go there wearing shorts or looking very scruffy as a failure to observe the dress code may mean you're politely escorted off the premises by one of the Harrods' security officers.
When I went I wore jeans, so you should be fine

I went to Harrods without understanding there replaced right into a gown code. I wore many times happening casual outfits that have been clean without holes. i think of as long as u dont look like the unibomber or a bum requesting spare replace youll be positive. i think of clean denims are positive. Have a blast will ya and understand i'm great jealous. Spend slightly time there, circulate to the puppy branch ( I observed corgi domestic dogs), circulate to the nutrition save and consume on the counter ( tea and pastry), circulate to the handbag branch and purchase a green harrods reusable bag (did no longer try this and want I did) and purchase a splash tin of tea as a memento. i will purchase various bags next time i circulate.

I don't think they do, I've often worn jeans and entered Harrods. Hey, after all, London is THE capital of exentric millionaires, they don't always dress like Vic Beckham and sometimes look like bums... So nobody would risk turning down a possible millionaire, right?

Its slick guerrilla marketing afaik. The occasional enforcement of a "dress-code" with a few customers being denied access to the store makes for a good news story in the tabloid press for millions of people to read and hear about. That reinforces the impression how Harrods are upmarket, luxury and exclusive. That kind of marketing is worth hundreds of thousands of pounds... but done craftily for free with some intelligent thinking - it's very clever.

you can wear what you want - the only thing is that if you have a large bag or rucksack you may be asked to take it off and let security see inside it. I think if you look totally scummy or homeless they will not let you in but jeans are fine.
I like the food halls best!

No. They know better than to judge a book by it's cover. Look at the way the Gallaghers and Sir Paul McCartney dress sometimes and look at the money they've got - at the end of the day, they are a business and as long as you've got money, you are welcome.

I went in jeans and a smart top. Ive heard that the men on the door wont open it for you if you are dressed casually, you have to open it yourself, but they opened it for me!
