P0400 : Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Error

Hi, Yvonne

If this is code P0400 then this is referring to an EGR flow malfunction.

The remedy is to remove the EGR valve, clean it out as it is probably bunged up with carbon, and clean out the intake ports where the EGR valve was sat with a length of wire to ensure you get right in and clear them out.

Once you have done this to a satisfactory standard you can then reassemble, clear the the codes, and that should do it. If not then you need to delve deeper, maybe replace the EGR valve itself.

If it is code P1400 then let me know and I shall further explain!

Cheers

Geordie
