Most of the time I spread as soon as crumpet comes out of toaster so it'll soak in. But sometimes I wait for it to cool down. Depends if I have enough time. Lol!!

Hi!
Soaked in of course, with it dripping off the bottom!
I also like my crumpets over done and a tiny bit burnt.
They're also nice with cheese or jam on 'em! Yummmmmyy!!
I'm nipping to Asda in a minute, shall I get you a few packets too?

you are never ever ever ever suppose to but butter on a crumpet!!!! we all know its cream cheese that goes on crumpets and butter is just for biscuits!!!!
actually i have no idea i have never eaten a crumpet before and i blame Hollywood for that making all the early villains in my life Brits....... thanks star wars!!
