As I understand it, they open all the good looking prezzies and keep them. Also any cheques and humorous postcards.

Once I was desperate for a particular parcel and I got up at 6am and waited for the postman. AT about 7:30 I rushed off for a wee and by the time I was done I had got one of those cards through the letterbox. I walked the 4 miles to the depot and had to wait until 2pm for the parcel to arrive at the depot. I was really annoyed that day I can tell you!

merely ever had an issue once, a parcel went lacking very last Christmas and that i have despatched and received a great number of parcels contained in the previous. i imagine your question is quite nasty. you're virtually implying that postmen are thieves. in case you imagine about it for a 2d, there is thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of parcels being presented on a daily basis, this is merely organic that a number of them get lost and are not presented. you may't anticipate a one hundred% ideal provider. of route you do get the common postman that steals from the corporate, yet there is no longer any workplace that could say they not in any respect had that problem. If all of us is got here across to be stealing from Royal Mail they don't merely get sacked, they get prosecuted and would bypass to reformatory.

parcels are carried by a courier or person employed by the post office ,in our area they ring the doorbell if no answer then they leave a card
, but havng said that i can send a reg parcel and the person who delivers it., nerver waits for a signature ,they leave it on the doorstep this often happens to parcels I send to the city

Our postman is very good and leaves parcels under the table by back door, you need to talk to your postie a card at Christmas and sympathy on a wet day.

hmm I think they tap on the door and then tip-toe back to the van!! And its a right pain having to traipse into the city centre to the delivery office to collect your un-delivered items!
