any one know how to play a rer/zip file?

you mean a RAR or ZIP file? you have to unpack it first. right click it to get the options available and unzip it, if its a ZIP file. then the new file you have will be uncompressed, and be readable by your music player.
if it is a winrar file (RAR) right click, click "extract files...", then select "OK" then the file will uncompress in the same folder the original file is in.
open the new folder, and you will find the songs/programs etc in there.
