I think poor Mr al faed is fighting a losing battle. The royal family are a very rich and influential family and will make sure they do everything in their powers to come out smelling of roses. I really dont know wether Dianas death was accidental but just the thought that it might not have been is enough to investigate the matter and would have been far more thoroughly looked into if it had not been the royal family at question.

10 years later and after with all the media it has recieved that will bias the jury = pointless waste of taxpayer money.
All that can happen is 1. The jury agree with all the previous inquests and those who don't agree still won't be happy and will look for other ways to get someone to tell them what they want to hear or 2. They jury will tell those people what they want to hear, those people will sleep better at night but nothing real will change.

presuming the same system as australia the sheriff may make any [unlimited] inquiry to find if the juries are suitable
this leaves a huge lee way of ''discretion''
i recall a former premier of qld that had the jury Foreman who was his parties youth party chair ,of course he was let off
thing is rich people have faith in the system , i have learned the system is very self protective
the judge and the prosecutor are all watching the jury ,one or the other notices any good points and negates them fairly quick ,its a system ; law is the way that governors stay the course
but time will tell ,one dame doesn't seem to have been ruled sufficient [reluctantly] and a jury is fair in fact under the magna carta charter it is the right of every citizen

Yes I am glad but unfortunately I don't think it will make any difference. If you were in the jury what would you do? I mean who exactly would be punished if they agreed on murder? Do you think they would send Charles to prison I don't think so.
I don't think William and Harry should have anything to do with it and it will be upsetting for them as it will be their father under fire but at the end of the day most people think she was killed rather than it being an accident, as it was all too convenient.

The poor woman has been dead 10 years. Nothing will bring her back and an inquest is needless suffering for her boys. If it has to be done, better 12 than one.

Indeed, I am EXTREMELY HAPPY, that this is so, - but, I firmly, believe, that it SHOULD have happend YEARS AGO, so that the souls of ALL THREE, who DIED, on that terrible night, could be allowed to REST, IN PEACE!
And, that says NOTHING, of the terrible SUFFERING, and ANGUISH, that MUST have haunted the minds of the two SONS, that the Princess left BEHIND!
Remember, - THEY may be GROWN MEN, NOW, - but they were just KIDS, when their beloved Mother was TAKEN, from them!
I can ONLY hope, that the Establishment can LIVE with themselves! I'm not sure, that I COULD!

How are they going to find 12 'subjects' (we're not citizens in the UK) who have no previous knowledge or opinion on the subject of the Parisian car crash?

It seems to be the best option..Collective wisdom of the Jury is better than the single judgement of the judge
