The answer to both options - be it highest individual innings score or most runs in tests by one player - is Brian Lara.
Lara holds the record for highest individual innings with his 400 not out vs England in Antigua in 2004, where he became the first man to score 400 in a test and the first man to reclaim the record.
He also holds the record for most test runs with over 11,900 runs, and in his next test innings will most likely become the first player to score 12,000 test runs.
As for all the answers of Tendulkar, seems like the Indian fans have again got their blinkers on and have not looked past the person they want to hold the record.
