Volgograd after 1961. This was NOT an old name - the old name was Tsaritsin. I read that it had returned to that but I think it was just an idea that never got acted upon.

Since 1961 it is called Volgograd.

Actually, Volgograd is not a new name. It is merely a reversion to the old name used prior to the Soviet revolution. Just as Leningrad has reverted to St. Petersburg.
