Just to let you all know, Limewire has now been closed down. It is now owned and ran by a company that is tracking every IP address of everyone that uses it so get rid NOW! The makers of Limewire have created Frostwire (do a google search) it's exactly the same but a lot safer !!!

If you want to ignore this then you are being very stupid.

I didn't hear it from anywhere, its a well known fact nowadays!!

You can keep Limewire then but why if there is a possible risk? Frostwire is exactly the same, speed, users, content...

Personally I don't use this shite, I download using Newsgroups-the real way to get stuff!!

But as everyone on here insists on using Limewire I thought I would warn you.

apps are shite, if you catch viruses off them then you've only got yourself to blame.

But as everyone on here insists Limewire is so great (stupid people) I am simply offering a safer alternative.

Actually most of those programs have a similar protocol and none of them are all that great.

dc++ is really a better alternative.....much more useful with full browsable shared files and complete files....full album rips, full movie and game dvd isos, full software packages.

Frostwire has much less probabilities of having an outbreak while downloading track than limewire. when I knew for the reason that my artwork instructor reccomend me that, I replaced it to frostwire right now.

no lime wire hasnt been closed down and also so it isnt being controled by the feds lime wire has been sued by RIAA but they are still up and running but things like bear share and them all have switched to being legal sites but the RIAA have sent fake programs throughout lime wire and what it does is it reads your ip address and then u have a higher chance of being sued so my advice it wathc out for what you download k peace.

i use limewire for single songs but not like i use Torrents. Torrents are the way to go, but also there is an alternative....

Filetopia (www.filetopia.com) is great for full CD's. movies... yadda yadda

Anyways, thanks for the warning, and i will check out this other prog.
